Meet the St. Augustine High School educators dedicated to preparing students for the High School Placement Exam.

English Instructor
Mr. Robert Duffy
Bob Duffy is an English instructor at St. Augustine High School. Mr. Duffy teaches literature, composition skills, vocabulary, and grammar to Freshmen and Juniors at Saints. This is Mr. Duffy’s second year teaching at Saints after spending the first 25 years of his teaching career as an adjunct professor at multiple institutions of higher learning in both San Diego and Philadelphia, PA. Mr. Duffy also has 10 years of experience being an instructor in the Writing Section of the SAT exam. He holds a B.A. from Villanova University and an M.A. in English from San Diego State University. Mr. Duffy is committed to the intellectual growth of his students and consistently displays a passion for teaching.

Mathematics Instructor
Mr. Andrew Hitchcock
Andrew Hitchcock is a mathematics teacher at St. Augustine High School with a passion for student success and faith-based education. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, a master’s in Educational Leadership, and is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership with a focus on Christian Ministry. Mr. Hitch is the founder of Tutor Hitch, a platform designed to connect students with high-quality tutors. During his first two years of teaching middle school, he led the Diocese of San Diego with the highest percentage of students to earn scholarships to Catholic high schools.
